Herman Construction's select team
of restoration craftsmen is experienced in a wide range of
challenging projects. It is our special interest and skill to
stabilize, repair, renovate, and restore existing construction.
We have effected major restoration on buildings from 250 to 50
years old, and crafted historically compatible additions to a
wide variety of structures. Whether your property is a vintage
home, a public edifice, or a unique historic treasure, Herman
Construction's reliability and expertise guarantee peak results.
Jonathan Herman was initiated in
restoration in the City of Baltimore, during the urban
renaissance of the 1970's. Working his way up from the position
of carpenter's apprentice, he acquired a comprehensive
understanding of the materials and methods of his field. This
knowledge, combined with his natural talent for management and
client relations, is the foundation of Herman Construction's
success in historic restoration.
Herman Construction is based in
the National Register
Town of Sykesville, where Mr. Herman also served as Mayor
from 1985 to
2009.
Since locating here in 1985, Jonathan has facilitated the
preservation of many of the Town's historic buildings, including
the 1883 landmark Queen Anne B&O Railroad Station, the
1883 John Norwood House, and the Warfield Complex at
Springfield Hospital.
